Staging: Essential in a slow market
With 87 percent of home buyers shopping on the Internet, the pictures they see there are the first, and sometimes the only, chance for sellers to make a good impression. Staging before photographing makes your property "one to see."
The Real Estate Staging Association compiled recent data, released in February 2009:
| | Un-staged, NOT SOLD | Staged, Listed SOLD | SOLD |
2007 Study 1/07-12/07 | 106 Days on market | 44 Days on market | 46.6% less time on market |
2008 Study 1/08-12/08 | 57 Days on market | 6 Days on market | 89% less time on market |
(Occupied Homes Previously on the Market)
Un-staged homes sat on the market, unsold, for the designated average number of days. They were taken off the market, staged, then re-listed. This time, they sold in significantly less time.
2008 was statistically a worse market than 2007, yet staging still proved to sell properties in less time than un-staged properties.
Staging works even in a slow market.

A portion of all staging projects will be donated to the CSP™ Charity of Choice, Habitat for Humanity.
